Got my SF eggs yesterday. They were packed fairly well, except each egg was not individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Each egg had a paper towel around it. Everything else about the packing was great. The nice lady sent 3 extras. Two were broken, one was cracked but I waxed it and will try it. Another looks like it might had a pin hole or something in it as there is a shiny spot on the side. It's getting wax because I'm not sure, but will check it daily with the stink test. Only one egg was leaking, and only a tiny bit in the carton, so it didn't mess up anything. The box was marked Extremely Fragile. It obviously had not been handled that way. Big dent in one side. So I can not blame the lady because I don't know if they would have made it, even in bubble wrap. So I ended up with 12 eggs (which is what I paid for in the first place). One has an obvious detached cell. The rest are good or maybe a bit loose, but nothing horrible.

The eggs were in Ebay.

I have been outside for 8 hours cleaning ALL Deep litter method bedding out of my coops! holy crap my back hurts! I have some great photos to put up though. Guess what I got today and wasnt expecting??? 2 kahki cambelll runner female ducks for chucky my one and only duck!!! They are laying eggs too!!!! Not only that I got 2 massive dog houses-like st bernard sizes!!! They are those nice thick plastic ones that come apart for easy cleaning. I gave my friend 2 standard cochin chicks ( 1 month old) and she told me to take her ducks and dog houses that she didnt want or need anymore!!! I had just gone to the feed store so I gave her a bag of laying pellets besides the chicks-she didnt want to take it but I made her. She doesnt have squat but her animals and she works for me-so I know first hand her whole paycheck goes to her animals-Cant wait to show you guys!!!! oh and Im going to candle my BBS orp eggs from gumps too -she had my candeler too! LOL...

Been soo busy with the now great weather..I forgot to post that I received my replacement eggs from ILOVE yesterday and they all made it!!!

I am soo happy and ILOVE is just and awesome girl!!!

On our way to Dylan's lesson....man is it ever HOT!! lol Brindle and I met up today...wonderful lady!!! Beautiful dogs...recieved some great chickies....Getting things done in the yard because we are planning to go out on the boat tomorrow...woohoo!!! 2 OEs hatched...hoping the silver penciled plymouth rocks hatch...

Congrats Nat on getting the ducks and dog houses...and congrats Ace that they made it! Hope you have a great hatch!

I JUST came inside from working in this most God blessed weather today-82 and blue-fabulous!!! sun burned back and shoulders-back killing me -arms ripped like a half man ( LOL) and Id do it all over again-Im so excited with all my babies and getting all their coops cleaned for the summer-did it all today-probably could have finished tomorrow but was so happy to accomplish so much-besides tomorrow its supposed to go down to 50s :-(

Girls....I was just offered some wood duck eggs to incubate, FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never incubated these before and my woodies haven't started laying yet...gotta do some research on incubating these haha

I have a green house and brought the indoor chicks out to play in it today, I left the door open for a nice breeze, but it still stayed very warm. They were thrilled and slightly terrified at the same time

!

Charlie and Lola (the mottled cochin pair) spent all day pestering the big girls and bathing in every patch of dirt they could find. (My dear husband spent half of his day kicking them out of every patch of dirt they found! HA!)

ETA: The big girls are our layers, they have a very spacious pen and there are only 3 of them...they are for our eggs. I don't let them out with the little chickens because none of them seem to get along...
