I freaked my 10 weekers out! I put them in a grow out coop with small run. They had the freedom to go out and freerange everyday for the last 3 weeks but none of them strayed from the barns front door! So I cleaned the coop and set it up and 1 by 1 put them in it-they were stone cold still! Took a good hour for them to move around. I knew I would be toast as soon as it was dusk too! MInd you the run is only 2 feet tall-so here I am climbing in and handing out each chick to my dh and putting them inside the coop! Locked them up tight and goodnight sweethearts!!

Haha--I get that alot -Almost all my OE's do - dad has feathering down his legs...not heavy though sporatic....I have had only 1 chick without it-look for the 5 toes too:-)
 
HOLY CRUD 13 out of 14 BBS orp eggs are veining-the 14th maybe too but looks like more of a blood ring and it's cracked-yu=ou couldnt tell the crack was there before I put it in! Thats great
11 of the 13 split silkie eggs are veining too:-)
only 3 of the 5 EE eggs are veining?? hmmm...Never had fertility problems with those guys-the eggs are kinda dark so I left them all in just in case.

SO far this "looks" like it could be an amazing hatch! Jen Im throwing split lav silkie eggs up for shipping on Monday if interested?? Brindle?? I know you wanted olives but I cant put those up yet:-(
 
Mary, sorry about the eggs. What the USPS gets away with is awful.

My JG's went freeranging for the first time today. No one picked on them, and they were real happy. I think my cleaning and stuff is to the point where I will spend the day with my horse at the barn. And no guilt.

Nat, I don't think I could do deep litter. I like my work spread out, LOL, not do it all in one day

its up:-) I very deleted the best pictures I had of the parents! I kept looking and looking and I screwed up deleting photos:-( I want to die...Ill have to take more tomorrow but I had great one of dad and a few of the moms....
