I have 3 silkies, 5 bantam cochin and 3 FBCM that are all about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks old in one brooder. I have 7 silkies that are 5 days old in another brooder. Should I combine all the silkies? I have more bantam cochin and silkies due to hatch in less than a week and bantam polish in a little over a week, so...could I put those in with the silkies as well? Then just have the first 5 bantam cochin and FBCM in their own brooder?

See my delima? I don't want a BILLION brooders going...

I did an early spot candle on my bator #1 eggs.

Bator #2 will be starting tomorrow. Waiting for one more set of eggs...gotta love ILOVEFFRIZZLES!!

I have 2 Lemon blues out...one egg is still pipped....Brindle...one is yellow...other is black...hmm...lol

Filled up one turner tonight....here it is:

3/31 6 Call ducks (BIL eggs)
3 Turkey
2 Mallard
1 Blue Copper Marans pullet egg (my eggs)
16 Orp eggs (MissPrissy)
14 Light Brahma (Todd R~ebay)
12 cochins (Kennedy's cochins)
Will be adding more eggs tomorrow...

Hmmmm....finally got a minute break from mommy duty. My 8 year old is not feeling so hot and is having her own kind of doody issues, if you know what I mean. I set Hoppy's eggs 6 days ago..I think they are all developing. Amazing for a cross country delivery. I will not due a full candle until my eastereggers hatch this weekend, so probably Monday. By then everything will have been in for at least a week- I think I have-

10 Easter eggers, 1 buff brahma and 2 b/b/s cochins due Friday/ Sat
8 duck eggs and 11 easter eggers due April 9
8 BLRW eggs from Hoppy due Apr 14
7 BLRW eggs from Ilovefrizzles and 120 Partridge, Buff, White and Barred Rock eggs due Apr 17

I may be missing some as it is overfull and the numbers do not add up.

Hmmm.....has anyone ever looked in there bator to a chick riding the egg turner? Yikes! Guess I better figure out what I am missing.
