I think the 4 BLRW I got from Mrs. Chickendad's eggs are all roos!

It is really weird that I have had 3 hatches of 3 chicks from 1/2 doz eggs purchases, and all have been roos! I mean, what are the odds?

Its soo frustrating I know! I just processed 2 more BLRW roos-I stopped I could have done 2 more but the 2nd one I did I really liked-he was pretty and nice! That blew it for me to do anymore today:-( I think I have narrowed it down to 2 roos already that I will keep but it depends how they feather out-I wish I had a chart-colored-that shows how the feathering should look and what not to have:-( Know of any?

No Idea... wish I had one too. I have no idea what to do about the roos. Hate the idea of eating them but I just cant keep this many. I know I need the nices comb, but feathering? No idea what the "ideal" is for the blue laced red roos.

welcome back mary!!

I have to share some exciting news. My son showed in juniors with the silkie and got 3rd best and then I took the silkie and showed in open and got best silkie over 8 entries!

my blr didn't win, I knew she would not but the judge said he liked her she just needed more size- she is just 5 months old now and even full grown, she will be smaller then the white wyandottes she competed against but I'm still happy that he really liked her lacing, just needed a shorter neck and broader head.
I am siked!

editted because I'm really tired now.
