Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

Did you put some Nutri drench in it's water? Such a precious little one :love
Been giving it straight down the side of the bill every so often. .then I switched to niacin water.
Just got it reintroduced to the family. Mama took it right back in :love
I think it's going to make it :yesss:

I'm dealing with a Craigslist idiot.

They advertised nine week old Call ducks, no pictures. Usually I wouldn't even bother but they're selling them for $5 each, so I decided at that price I might as well find out more info.

I emailed asking for a picture. They emailed back saying two are 'pure white' so obviously they are white, and the rest are 'partridge'. I emailed back saying, sorry, don't know that color, as far as I know there's not a color called that in Call ducks, could you be talking about Greys, do they look like mallards?

Just got an email back saying to "Google a picture of a partridge bird" and that "all their Calls are 100% pure" as if I had been implying that their ducks aren't pure. No, idiot, I'm just saying you don't know what color ducks you have.

I sent an email back in as even a tone I could manage saying that I wasn't implying that their birds aren't pure, but there is no color called partridge in Calls ducks. I said there's a color called partridge in chickens, and do they mean their ducks look like that? Because if so, that's called Grey. I told them I need to know the color before I'll consider buying any.

Of course, they could have just sent pictures and avoided this whole thing, but nope, that would be too hard.
