Night time has a ritual at my house, I bring out treats, and we all sit around and "chat"....
well last night, after feeding the treats, I was sitting and watched one of my
Gold Stars (RSL) not only drop one soft shelled egg on the ground, but 2!

Wow, one broke when it hit, and the other I grabbed and then ground the yolk of the other into
the dirt....I guess she was holding one in for a day....

I have found 2 under the roost also in the past week...

Just means more eggs soon!

I sprinkle around some oyster shell when I see soft shelled eggs, and the hens gobble that up. Maybe your newly laying hens could use a little calcium boost. It is common for hens to lay a soft shelled egg (shell-less egg, with just membrane) at first, but I like to offer the extra calcium too.

Oh I have had a separate container for the girls for weeks now....all are laying except a couple now, I thought they all were...now I know better. It seems most all of them passed the soft egg first, so hard shells should be very soon!
