Hey everyone. I havent been on in a few days due to working on and presenting my final 4-h demonstration, and psych homework +humanities papers. LOL.
Anyways, my family made their last trip to the feedstore today, insistant on dragging home more birds (apparently thats their way of replacing things) we dont need. I informed them if they get near MY brooder full of orloffs and houdans, there would be war. Altho they did get me this lil partridge silkie chick (ig its their form of a consolation prize?). Too cute XD
And My bator is fired up. Then again, the thing seems to be perpetually going. LOL. Last week I had the resultes from my attempted first dry hatch--two lil "bionic chickens" from my own, ancient barred rock hens and demented mix breed rooster. They are mutts but definitely barred little fluffballs of cuteness
Im alot more peaceful this week. Finally.
I obviously didnt go to prom, and I guess I'll never know what it was like, but I cant help but tell myself there has to a reason for everything. So its all gonna be okay
And Im so excited about the lav silkie eggs!!!!!!!!! Im so nervous!
I dont wanna mess up!!!!

Good luck on your lav silkies, you'll have to let us know when they hatch and post pix too! Don't worry about missing prom, I know you really wanted to go, but looking back it would have been no loss for me if I hadn't gone. I'm sure a lot of people would agree. I know you're probably tired of hearing this, but there will be plenty of opportunities in your future that will be much better than the missed prom. Think of it this way, if you had your choice of going to the prom or your lav silkies, which would you choose? I would choose the lav silkies, hands down! There is no dance that compares to the joy of taking care of your precious little fuzzbutts! I am sure not everyone feels the same way, but those are, of course, the people who do not own chickens!!!
