She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

So y'all think I should candle tomorrow and see what's going on? I can't remember who said it but when I asked earlier someone said candle at the end of day 22. Tomorrow around 1 starts day 23.

Well, the theme was A Beautiful Life, but 'twas more from the angle of spiritual warfare, having wisdom, and avoiding complaining/negativity. SisQ Meadows is a great place! She's 12. I do have a photo showing our new feathers, but I didn't post that one 'cause it makes me look like I have a deformed forehead

Sounds interesting! 12 is a fun age. It's cool watching them turn into independent individuals, but still keep that close contact.

Wow that's amazing! Hope you get her tomorrow.
I kept counting my girls today, and finding 7 of 8. Finally found all 8...at the same time I noticed a groundhog! Dang varmits!
We lost one last night. Had the whole family out there looking and we never found her. Hubbs was out there for a good 2 hours. Then, there she was this morning, waiting for me to open the gate.

Have you ever read Frank Peretti's "This Present Darkness" or "Piercing the Darkness"? Awesome spiritual warfare depictions. One of my favorite areas of study in religion. I took a Sunday School Unit on Spiritual Warefare-interesting stuff.
Is that the one about the dragon? I think I read that when I was 13 or so. I thought it was pretty good. The concept of the dragon was really cool to my young mind.
Then I guess I moved on to Grisham and Anne Rice.
Just finished Sir Terry Pratchett's last book. It was really good. I don't think I have ever cried that hard reading a stupid book about fake people. One of the main characters dies at the beginning, and it's really easy to see Terry in her and geeze, it really broke my heart. The world just isn't the same without him.
Anyone read the latest book by Harper Lee yet?

Sally, I think Amy was just giving her opinion, as everyone else does in this thread. No need to leave, unless you just don't like it here!

I also am a great lover of science and put a lot of stock in scientific research papers. What is very common (and I'm NOT saying you do this) is that someone will take a study and then apply it to other groups and other situations that the original study did not cover. Then it becomes a blanket "truth" people believe instead of just the results of a study of a particular group or situation.

Most studies are looking for statistical differences. Which means the theory will not hold true for every subject, just for the majority. Studies have shown that cigarette smoking increases your chance of getting lung cancer. Some people have taken that to believe that everyone who smokes will get lung cancer. (FALSE) Believing that is just like believing if you smoke 3 packs a day it won't hurt your lungs just because someone knows someone who smoked 3 packs a day and lived to 102.
Well said!!!

See, this is why I keep the windows open. Too hard to breathe with so much estrogen in the room

We have a little black guy in the bunch who is always off to himself. Everyone else is running around, screaming and pecking and he's off in a corner trying to sleep. I like that guy.

sorry you don't feel good kid. I hope you feel better soon. that goldenrod behind your house is probably part of what is causing you illness . if you can find one old fashioned stick inhaler . I get mine at the dollar store . saline sinus spray also dollar store . and the most important . raw unfiltered Honey from as close to where you live as you can get it start eating it . drink it in coffee or hot tea with lemon . what ever just do it year round.it will help. we're not going to have a frost for at least five weeks maybe more.so no relief for a while. you may not have an allergy just the massive amounts of pollen in the air by late afternoon can irritate sinus cavities so much they become inflamed. and then there's the chicken factor. use a dust mask when you clean coops. on to the next topic . the eggs are in the incubator put them in last night . if these aren't spelled right you can correct me. 8 CLBs 14 BCMs 7 Am. 5 Aracanaua 2 Sulmtuleras. and I hope I can get them to hatch .I'm beat read a few more post and off to bed .
Good luck on your hatch, 910!

@RavynFallen , one thing that worked wonders for me was putting a box fan in the bedroom with one of those super duper allergy/charcoal filters on it. Gets rid of all the dander, pollen and any smells emanating from the master bathroom. I need to do this again. Cheesecloth over the vents in your house is supposed to help, too.

never thought about that . but I did tell my friend I wanted to get a lot more. I'm taking him some eggs tomorrow. what was a simple drain cleaning at his house has turned into a hard job the drain is broke under the driveway. I use a pressure washer with a jettier on it for drain cleaning. pressure washer went down on Friday. had to buy a new one. bad day brakes went out on my Wife's van yesterday bad day haven't cut the first blade of hay old John just refused to come out and play .  got him to start this afternoon of course to late to cut hay. I've been   to busy fixing everything. but other than that life is a big bowl of cherry's . :ya four of my six GLWs have hatched not sure GLW and what yet. might take a little while to figure it out. .

:th

That's more than a bad day... that's a flockin Murphy's Law Day!! Hope your wife's brakes didn't go out at a bad time... and hope things get straightened out for you... :hugs
Jim js coming up with all kinds of ideas for the wrap, lol... and he didn't realize how big the pieces were... I'm thinking of trying black and white duct tape to patch holes, a color for each side, lol... :D

The one with the dragon was "The Oath" I believe. (If not The Oath the The Prophet, but pretty sure it was the Oath.)

Sounds like a nice incubator load no matter how they are spelled!

Rayvn gave me a big fix . I 've never had this many different kinds of eggs in the incubator before . counting the GlWs there are six different types of chickens in there. she added three new breeds to my flocks . man I need rehab really bad. I.m falling asleep again nap time .
