I was going to say that sometimes men are a little slow (no offense) but then I saw that a few comments after this included women putting the fear of God into their husbands!!
Were your temps high? That could cause the early hatch and the mal-positions are probably from the turner. With shipped eggs, I stop turning on day 16 to give them some extra time to get in position.
Looks like good packing to me. The best shipped batch I've had to date, were packed exactly like that. And from GA to NY.
What breeds are you looking for? I'll have silkie eggs in spring, if you just want to pay shipping and give them a try.
The last two months I wasted over $150 on 2 bad batches of shipped eggs. You are not alone!

I'm looking for crested cream legbars, araucanas, and more blue laced red wyandottes. I will hatch silkies and hopefully renew my faith in shipped eggs. I don't mind the gamble, really I just was so bummed when so many were duds right off the bat. Day 14 and zero progress for those ones.

I've been too scared to buy fertile eggs. I'm tempted to try some faveroles from Clover Leaf, I've seen folks rave about the quality. I know with chicks it can be hit or miss. I've had a batch spend an extra night in St. Louis and all but three or four were dead. Then I lost a couple more the next day.

I was having great luck at shipped eggs. I was starting to think they weren't as hard as everyone was saying. Then I dropped big bucks on show quality silkie eggs from a private breeder in Florida. $160 (including express shipping) and only hatched 3/32 eggs!!! I was beyond disappointed to watch them quit day after day, I'd lose another one! Down to lockdown and the three that made it hatched. My girls are not laying yet. Should be any day. So I will definitely have eggs in spring. What state are you in? I'm in NY.

Who was supposed to reprimand you?  Want me to do it?  Um... I'll try... You know you shouldn't be setting eggs in October.  It's gonna be getting cold.  And, brooding chicks in the house in cold weather is a very BAAADDDD thing.  But, wait... If you use a heating pad, those little chickies can go right out to the coop, and be brooded right there in the coop, where integration will be super easy, they'll probably be integrated by the time they are 4 weeks old, roosting by the time they are 5 weeks old, and you could have teeny tiny cute lil multi colored pullet eggs in March.  Good for you!!!       There, was that a good and proper reprimand???
I do hope Nebo does ok at the vet.  How old is he.  I hurt and whine a lot because of my hips also.

Temp is pre-set 99.2 never been higher than 99.5 every time I've checked. Today was suppose to be Turner shut off so I didn't catch that they had pipped, I just had noticed while I was checking water levels. This hatch is all home hatch of mine and my friends bantams. Next hatch is nearly all shipped with a few home eggs..:/

Did you get eggs from both breeders then?

I sure did I got 18 from 1 breeder, 1 of the eggs was cracked though so I had to throw it out but she had given me 6 extra anyway, I only paid for 12, and then I got a dozen from the other breeder and she gave me 6 extra also, I only paid for a half dozen from her. They were both really nice people. The breeder that I got the 18 eggs from told me to let her know how the hatch goes and she said if it doesn't go good she will send me replacement eggs. I saw all their Icelandics too, beautiful roos and hens. I can't wait to see what yhese little guys look like!

My hatching eggs go in the fridge with dates and so do my eating eggs. I decide which to put in the bator out of what I've got.
