She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

So since @RubyNala97 deserves a parade for her 8/9 hatch of SHIPPED eggs I am going to try to do one justice. I am not SC or have his talent for entertainment, so bare with me. But since a tribute is in order.....I'm attempting it. (Don't hate it too much.)

I tossed 2 clears and 8 quitters. So I have 19 that are still going strong, nice veining and movement and the air cells look pretty good so far so

that they continue to grow nicely and that I'll actually have a good hatch. I'll never wash eggs again after this, lol. The 1's that are still good were the ones that weren't quite as dirty so I didn't have to scrub as hard. Some I just wiped down and dried real quick. There was 1 I was concerned about the last time I candled so I took a quick peek at that 1 a little bit ago and he's looking real nice too. That was 1 of the dirtier eggs so it'll be interesting to see if he makes it and how he turns out if he does.

Ya know, this makes me wonder if there is some kind of way to "replace" the bloom, if we do wash eggs. Ruby mentioned on that FB thread they used Listerine. Seems like there would be something we could dip the eggs in, to preserve them. I'm going to have to do some research on this.

My chicken eggs are usually fairly clean, but my duck must like to roll hers all around. If I don't get it early, she gets it filthy. Its just dirt, not poo, so I just wipe it off. I'd still incubate without washing the dirt, but poo is a different subject.

Congratulations Ruby!!!!

Even though yor eggs went through the postal service:

You managed an 8/9 hatch!!!!

Let the parade begin!
