She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Well I lost another egg, possibly 2, not positive about the 2nd one yet but there's no movement whatsoever. There's still veins but they look like their receding. There's no blood ring forming yet but I'm sure there will be. I'm pretty sure it's quit also but I'm giving it a fighting chance just incase.

My next mission will be ducks, but that will have to wait until spring. But I'm not so sure I want to hatch them yet...

Take the call duck challenge in spring! I think a few of us are going to try!

Never ask for directions in the vicinity of the place you're trying to find. I made that mistake in DC many years ago. I found a guy in a parking garage, gave him the address I was looking for, and was told I was on the wrong end of town. Over an hour later, when I finally found the address, I was on the opposite side of the same building where I'd asked directions.

Megan beat me to it! DC is the worst for driving! Worse then NYC in my opinion!

I want some roos with devil horns. I saw a picture of a real pretty roo with devil horns when I was searching online for something and I fell in love, the only breed I can find with a comb similar is the La Fleche but it's not quite the same. I wonder how you would go about breeding that comb into another type of chicken. Imagine an Ayam Camani with devil horns!! That would be awesome! But I guess then he wouldn't be fibro melanistic anymore :/

I kinda like the devil horns too!! LOL!

What day of incubation are you on? Towards the end of incubation, you stop seeing much in the egg because the chick is so big.

Don't throw in the towel just yet. I never saw veins or movement in any of the eggs I set, but I didn't have anything to lose, so I left them all there. I never tossed any 'til the three out of five that hatched were three days old.

I'm only on day 11 right now
Keep an eye on it then.

I do not toss them until day 10 and only if they are obviously clear or starting to smell like sulpher.

700

Check this guy out!! I've gotta have 1 of these, lol!

Should I say heck yeah or he'll yeah? I've wanted one of those too, but I think the hens lay white eggs which is a disqualification for my farm.

Someone needs to bridle your enthusiasm, or you'll have your poor hubby filling up your entire acreage with individual coops & runs so you can house breeding trios of every breed of chicken known to mankind
