Hey yall, I have a question. I got 5 new Wellies and I didn't notice when I got them but 1 has a pretty nasty case of bumble foot. I have a pic but I'm not sure if my phone will actually post it, I'm having overheating problems and when I try to post pics it gets REALLY hot but I'll try in a minute. Her whole foot is swollen pretty bad. The sores is on top of her foot between her toes. I don't see a scab though, it just looks like a hole, I on both sides of her middle toe. Can I cure it with penicillin injections or will I have to cut them out?

Is it possible that what you're seeing is toe marking? Not sure what the correct term is, where the web space is pierced to ID a chick.

I thought that may have been what it was but the hole doesn't go all the way through. It looks pretty nasty. IL try to post the pic.

I don't know, Megan. I see lots of chickens like that at my neighbors but I've never dealt with it personally. I would do a search on bumble foot and read through the threads. Or post in the emergency/sickness section. It's called something like that. Good luck!
