I am really struggling not to set something for the NYD hatchalong, lol. I told myself I was done for they year but now I'm thinking about doing something...

I don't have the best luck with this HAL, though. The first year I did it, I only hatched one egg and had to frantically chase down chicks in January to keep my lone hatchling company. Not easy! And then the next year, I didn't actually get to set for the HAL because somehow the eggs that were coming to me in VT from TN made a trip to Hawaii. Miraculously I still got some to hatch. I really should just not this year with my track record :th

Well, there IS that...but I've armed him and taught him how to use them, just to level the playing field.

My chicks are enroute from Michigan to NY. Let's hope they make it here by tomorrow at 3 (that's the guaranteed delivery time)....:fl

I'm trying so hard not to, too! I put an ad on CL this morning that said I am contemplating setting and hatching on NYD. If anyone wants chicks to reserve by 12/11. I had one person respond who wants two. I've decided if one more person wants chicks, I'll set. I really don't know if I want anyone else to respond or not! Lol. I want to hatch but I really don't want newborns right now!

:fl they will get to you safe and sound. How old are these ones?

You know even if you set some, you will have to set extras! I'm hoping to sell my extras, but if they don't sell, I'll just keep them. So I'm ready either way.
