Been crazy busy! Christmas came, hubby threw out his back ... twice, broke my toe, tons of snow (well feels like tons) new feather babies out growing the brooder but not sure if they are ready for the "big move" outside.

They're more ready than you, you mean, lol... get them kids outside, everyone will be happier...

Am doing ok, hatched a chit load of Calls... broke my record and hatched a full 2 doz in one batch... we're a bit overrun now...

Oh, and wanted to let you know that Copper Sulfate is antibacterial... I feel like an idiot, but copper is a natural antimicrobial, I think? Something like that anyways...

I think when the kids get home from school we are going to put the dog crate in the coop for safe introduction. Then see how they all get along in the morning. They get so mad when a chicken "flies the coop" well brooder anyways lol.
Congrats on the hatch. Thats awesome. Hubby said no more ducks. I think 11 is the magic number lol.

So we put the babes in the crate and they took a sleigh ride to the coop. Lots of quacks on both sides and shaking of tail feathers. The chickens aren't sure, now they are out numbered lol
