She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Hey, believe me, we have more than our share of honey boo boos over here. You should see the ones they pick to interview for the flag debate. I like to pick, it's what I do, but I absolutely love Savannah, and the northern part is beautiful, but all that stuff in the middle... Whew! :gig

Ours are not so much the honey boo boos just more like.........who want everything handed to them in a hand basket withOut working for a penny.

Up to 17 BCM eggs. I am so looking forward to torturing you for 3 weeks :gig

You willing to give me some of those???? I am looking for some for my last set with my CCL. I will drive to meet you and get them.

Ok, so I have Big Brother on because one of our "hometown boys" is on it this season, and I still don't get the draw to this show. I just don't understand. Not that it has anything to do with chickens...lol

You expected this

...but what you got was this

Exactly! The kids were beyond excited and then they were like: yeah ok.

That's AWWWEEESOMEE!!!! Go you!! x2!! Now you must high five a million angels!!
Thank you so much!!
I'm wanting to think that's about the price at TSC here for the cardboard. I just love the clear cartons, especially when I have the EE and BCM eggs mixed in
They only sell the cardboard ones by me and they are .35 cents each.
With over 300 birds, losing a few is inevitable. But last night somehow my BBW baby snuck into the big turkey pen. By the time we got back from our shoreline and dinner ride, she had been cornered and killed. Now I am debating whether to start another BBW to raise for next year's breeder flock or not. She was on diet restrictions and was growing beautifully with no health or hip issues.
Aw man. That stinks! I'm sorry to hear that. On a positive note, like you said, you can try again.

What a day! Drank to much coffee today and now I'm so tired but the caffeine is still in my system! My hatch is over! 3 peachicks hatched and are in the brooder! They are very different then chicken chicks! Much less independent and less hardy. I do have a question. The one I assisted out is having a hard time getting his legs/feet under him. None of them can really walk yet. They take longer to be mobile then chickens. I examined him and there doesn't seem to be a physical problem. No curled feet or splayed legs or hip issues. Do you think because he was assisted and didn't use his leg muscles to break out that maybe they are just not strong enough yet?
In other news, my 8 week olds went out to the coop today! Thank goodness someone on here told me to run a light out there into the coop. They are so scared. Every time I check on them they are roosting right next to the light. I feel so bad for them. Never thought I'd be so attached to Chickens. They are the first babies I ever hatched. I think I'll go check on them one more time. Hehe. And the run is done! It came out better then I dreamed. It's awesome! I'll take pics tomorrow. Last question. If I'm training the chicks to know that the coop is home, should I not let them out in the run for a few days?

Seriously it would work.....that is why I do not add water to my incubator until lockdown. LoL!!!!

Well I bet I could slip them under a sleeping hen and not even have to have a broody.

Hear ya.....even Savannah has its good and its bad. Although I do have to say I could definitely live in NC because I miss the mountains....or even north GA. But.....its not the same as Alaska.

That comment just hurt me. I have been in the south way too long. I miss the mountains--the REAL mountains. I like it here but I don't want to die here.
