This was only my second one ever! First one was with a bow! This one with the rifle. Lucky shot with the bow though, I swear. I wasn't even really sure where to aim. I was deer hunting and this huge flock of turkeys came under my stand. Couldn't help but try lol. And I got it on video! Lol

I gotta believe if you aim at the pin feathers, you're in the right direction...but I don't know.

That's what I did. With a rifle, its a neck/head shot, but a bow is a bit more difficult.

Ok here is the best I could get. Don't know if u can see the hen in the back left but the chicken and the turkey are sitting on 18 turkey eggs and the turkey in the front is the one that just hatched poults. It takes a community I tell you

Was a good sized wild turkey for our area. And mine was bigger than DH's lol. 11-12" beard, 1-1/2" spurs. Heavy beast. The bad thing was that it had apparently been shot previously. The breast was green/black and gelled looking. No way were we eating it, dangit.

Now that was one beautiful turkey! Too bad he wasn't edible, but still...beautiful bird.
