I have 79 unread posts to catch up on but I have to run into a meeting. Before I do, I wanted to show you my Brinzea. This is Frankenbator. I made a page for it (its in my sig). By using Flex Watt heat tape I get a more even distribution of heat and the incubator comes back up to regulated heat quicker after candling (about 4 minutes). Using the Flex Watt also allows me to put heat directly over a cup(s) or jar(s) of water to increase humidity during incubation and lockdown. By doing this I avoid using sponges and I don't have the mess, the chance of dripping on eggs, and I don't have to open the incubator as often if at all. I can also run with the vents open and it does not affect the temps because the flex watt is so efficient. 11 hatched out of 14 shipped eggs ain't bad!
I love them!! Especially the polish. They look so "proper". Awe. Thanks. He is beautiful. I have one too that is high pitched and very annoying. And cocky. If he sees anyone he has to stick that chest out there and crow his head off. Oh wow. That one in the middle is almost identical in coloring to my ee you said you liked. Unfortunetly mine has the yellow legs, but she has the fluffy cheeks. My last chicks are going through their ugly phase. You must have done something right! And no, I didn't miss the bomb, I'm wearing my Queen Elsa dress.
Amy, sorry about your eye. I was wondering where you have been! You're going to have to wear sunglasses outside from now on! Be careful, girl! I'm glad it's starting to get better.
I can't figure out why the editor keeps placing this picture upside-down, but I came across this egg this morning. Its the darkest brown I have ever gotten out of my red sexlinks, which would be awesome if not for the fact it is 25.08g...the egg beside it is an average Medium egg and more than twice the weight at 53.38g. The coin is a U.S. quarter.

Every once in a while we get a marble sized one, a "fart egg", "fairy egg" or whatever someone wants to call them...with just a nubbin of yolk and drop of white encased in a full serving of shell and tint. They are usually as beautifully dark as a BCM egg out of the RSL. Too bad they aren't useful!
Awesome job, sidewing!!! When are you planning on setting more eggs??

Thanks! I'm surprised I don't have another set it yet. I want to add a fan first. I'm trying to show some constraint. I'm also worried about shipping eggs in with the AI outbreak otherwise I would have picked something up on the 24 hr auction thread.
Amy,
I'm so sorry about your eye. Twice!? I have to admit that I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. But at the same time I was very sad for you. I'm worried about what kind of karma that bought me.
I set SLP, SLP/EE, SLP/ BR, GL Cochins, Cochins, Silkie/EE, and a Maran Cross. So I started with 28, day 7 lost 10, 2 were infertile, and 8 were quitters. I am pretty sure I lost another 4 including the one from last night but I it was still moving around in the egg so I hope it survives.

Oh no! Please no bad karma. I have to admit I laughed a little too. I'm thinking "Twice?? really??" Oh goodness, I hope it doesn't happen to me this evening! Admitting it gets rid of bad karma juju, right?
