She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I do too. I asked him to keep in touch, and he was infatuated with all my pens, so I think he may be coming back to buy more birds. I get a lot of repeat customers once they see the setup. It's hard to convey on CL, but it really is a pretty setup. I have nice custom coops, and my wife has done some beautiful landscaping around them. I'm thinking of maybe looking into a small website for next year

That should make you feel good. And repeat business is wonderful. I think that's what anyone would strive for! I still hope he can handle Damien lol

Rodney Carrington is very funny, and a lot more "blue" than the Blue Comedy guys. You will like him
I can get teary eyed over Robin. "Hook" makes me cry
Chandler? From Friends?

I've got a great nephew named Damien and all I can think when I hear the name is OMEN.

It's been in the mid to upper 90s for three weeks down here. 70% humidity. I would die without central air. Our condenser went out Tuesday, and I paid extra for the after hours service. I'm not posh, but I'm a big ol' boy. I can't sleep hot

you ani't tough enough there have been times when the thermometer has hit 110 here and I'm still out in it only turn the ac on in my truck after a hot day to cool off the steering wheel before I get in then it goes off and the windows stay open all the way home in and out of ac is not good for you. don't go inside for lunch on hot days it only makes it worse when I go back out. my house was built some time in the 1800s no insolation at all ac is out of the question it would cost 2000.00 a month to cool this house .ani't going to pay it we have an above ground pool the wife and kids cool off in that . I get the pleasure of keeping it clean. it's just as hard as hatching eggs.I love your new birds hope they do well for you. I hatched some from N.C. off ebay the lady said they were from the same line.we'll see how they turn out.

Sorry, had to make a pit stop on the way home. I have a feeling Damien will end up on some dumplings

I will happily admit I'm not tough enough. I would die without AC. I really think these are going to be good birds. There is a BYC member in Tennessee that also raises show quality Ameraucans. DMRippy

Yep from the looks of Damien, on some dumplings might be a good spot for him to land. Just the picture of that bird scared me. :gig

Once upon a time, SC asked for some Wheaten Ameraucana pics....

My pair that hatched from my "gift eggs" that came with my Orloff eggs:
You can see the male feathering in with the darker feathers already

And then my sole survivor of an order of 6 shipped eggs that spent an extra day travelling around Albuquerque. This is the "Neuro Chick" that was a stargazer after an assisted hatch.

And of course, the Orloffs just for good measure and because I love them...

Big size discrepancy, I think I have a pair.

I know that name but not from chickens can't place it now but it will come to me later . a lady from the breeders club from Jamestown tn. is the reason I'm on the BYC can't think of her name either but I need to touch base with her I know how to do that. I would like to take a long vacation and travel around to see and meet the top breeders in the country. not sure I would like to show but I would know what the best are. you should shot for the best in what ever you raise. I know breeding and like the fact that chickens can be built up to what you want fast if you do it right. It rained today here took off early and thought I'd be able to catch up but I'm still 10 pages behind or more you guys post so much and so fast. I keep fans running on my young birds and shade over my hens I also have a large fan with a mister hose fastened to it that works good for really hot days for quick cooling if they need it I move it around. I'm out the door my day is far from over.

Maybe I'll try dry aging in the fall - it will probably take me that long to get up the nerve to process my first bird....................

Those sound like interesting mixes, and would give nice meat birds. I'll probably have some extra Ameraucana over Marans cockerels eventually, or some Orloff culls, but they grow so slow it's ridiculous - 2 years to fully mature! (Anything I process will be for personal consumption only.)
