I don't do leadership. I make a heck of a minion, though.

So, thanks to my handy-dandy chicken scheduler spreadsheet, I have figured out how to have 217 birds processed by Dec 22, no more than 76-96 in brooders at one time, 68 hens laying by the end of the year and 106 laying by Jan 22. Business plan back in action...Now I just have to create enough run space for 226 young chickens, which shouldn't be a problem!!![]()
Now I just have to come up with 288 eggs between now and Aug 29.
Or find a backup processor...one in Omemee, more here...

Planning's a pain. My spreadsheet grows more complex every year, then not being able to source hatching eggs early enough throws a wrench in. Or like last year when my local turkey processor retired in August...
Silkie, your a great kid, and a great addition to the thread. Please don't take this the wrong way. The average age of Sarah's thread is about 14. The average age of this thread is older than your parents. We are going to talk just a little differently to each other than BR talks to Peeps. We're not doing anything obscene, but we will ambiguously try to make each other laugh. Neither of us said anything blatantly disgusting. We save that for the PMs![]()
How on earth do you know the average age of the posters on a thread?
He's a mind reader and a good one at that .also since he;s not quite a grown up he relates to all ages from thisto this
to this![]()
