She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

missed this one this could work well .you might want to look at foundation vents I have one in the north wall of my first coop It has a thermostatic spring that opens and closes it at around 35 or 40 degrees but it's costly $30.00 at home depot of course I got it free from work
I've done the foundation vents, but the RV vent on the roof would be perfect in the summer. Give the heat a way to get out through the top. If you wanted to get really fancy, you could buy one with a fan if you had access to power

I have been working my butt off to find some SOP SLWs this time of year. I finally found two from a lady selling her extras. She says they come from Duane Urch a breeder of SOP for 50 years and an APA judge. Sweet. So I go pick them up. The next day I call Duane to see if he has anymore. He says he stops hatching in may and does not breed SLW anymore.

It is possible that he helped the lady find SOP SLW. He does do that for folks from what I have heard. They are supposed to be pullets, but one has short wings and no tail yet so I'm really hoping he is a cockerel. Crazy uh? Hoping for a cockerel! If they are not it's not a huge loss. Paid 10 bones a piece for them.

You, my friend, are definitely sliding down that slope

That's what I'm here for, to say all the things that other people are too nice to say. Need an example? See my next reply...
Scissors
You girls are too soft, but when you snap it can be ugly.
scissors? That's not ugly. It worked. I used scissors to get the rotten egg off her, then used a rag soaked in hot water to loosen the yolk off her. I just dumped all the eggs. They stunk so bad :sick. I locked her out of the hutch to get her unbroody, and cleaned out the best wth a rake and then soapy water.

I'm in so deep now that I'm getting phone numbers sent to me for someone that "might have what you need". I feel like I'm looking for drugs!

Just kidding. I'm tapping into some old timers that have bred SOP for many many years and it's pretty cool. They don't have websites and many don't text. They are sure confused to get a call for SLW in July though. They act like I'm crazy.

you gonna eat em 4 to 6 weeks spurs start ouickest way to tell guessing one week old here did you see the breeding stock to me that's more important than a name .the larger one could be a cockerel one thing I've noticed about them is a cockerel will stretch their necks up high to look around more so than a pullet

or you could use a couple of solar powered boat cabin vents but there a little on the small side.

Really cute! I can see the reason for the addiction!
