get a power converter for your car a cheap only cost a little and will run that small incubator for while a just off the battery.

Or you can go just a wee little bit overboard, like me, and buy one of these..

That's not overboard... we've been talking about getting one... heard you got one and kept meaning to ask, how is it?

Its actually pretty nice. So far, we have just basically mowed with it, but it does well. Oh, I use it to transport my feed out to the pens too!

When my power went out during my duck incubation, hubby was out of town -- 5 hours away, 3 feet of snow on the ground... He spends a few nights a month travelling, so its not impossible for it to happen again. Even if we had had a generator, I wouldn't have been able to get it out and hook it up. This thing, I can drive from the garage to the front door, run an extension cord, and I'm back in business!
