I would absolutely love to have one, have wanted one all my life, but with my work schedule I don't think it would be fair to the dog.
A good friend of mine has been a Malinois breeder for years, and the puppy he has been waiting for from Germany for 4 months should be arriving in the next week or two. I know yours are shepherds, but I think both of them are just the most beautiful dogs in the world. I run a landfill, and I got to watch one work one day when the police got a tip that a body was in a truck. Turns out the body wasn't there, they found him later, but watching that dog work was amazing. They way he followed hand signals, and how thourough he was in his search. They are just magnificent dogs.
I appreciate the tip about over filling the feeders. I had planned on only filling about 2 days worth, then refilling when they ate it all, but it is a nice fallback if we want to get out of town for a few days
If you are using a still air incubator temp needs to be between 101-102 measured near the tops of the eggs. Forced air the temps need to be 99.5. Too low you will have delayed hatches and developmental issues, significantly low and you get a lot of chicks dying after lockdown. Too hot and you have early hatchers with higher risks of development issues and significantlly hot and you cook your eggs.
I'll try and get some better pictures for you to help me pick the main man. The black is fairly obvious, but the blues are a little harder. There are 4 of them, so if you take away the leak there are 3 to choose from. They all look similar, but one is a little bigger, more personable, and is showing more black in his head and hackles. He may just be an early developer, but he is beautiful. The blue isn't going to be as big a deal as picking the right black, because he is getting my BCM cull hens. If sidewing's bcm turn out as good as I think these Ams are, we are going to make a great team
Guess that's the same instinct that makes him such a great ball dog! No, it's totally my fault for not having a secure enough playpen.

And I'll volunteer for test hatches in the spring - you know, to test your shipping methods and all that.... (LOL) SIdeWing is closer, and near the same altitude so I'm sure he's wanting me to test hatch..........
from him means you're accepted here, lol... your cockerel looks very handsome, btw... I do love his coloring... that's actually pretty rare, usually they are dominated with rust color... and that blue hen with the buff color overlay is gorgeous... 
someone also pointed out, I think it was Ravyn, that they are all technically Ameraucanas. Regardless, your birds are very pretty
Thats what we thought here in PA @lazy gardener but out of all our breeds they had faired the best! we never had a stitch of frostbite on them but we did take care to prevent with 2x4 sideways, ventilation as we know up north is key. Out of all the birds breeds we had, we never once lost a white face to ANYTHING! Truely strong breed, we had standards not bantams though

WV, it looks like the hatch might be going well?
I'm online to have the best hatch for me yet. The new Brinsea Spot Check is amazing. I was running on the lowest end of the possible hatching scale. Probably led to some of my chicks curled foot issues and definitely led to my late hatches. I might see hatching on day 19/20 just like everyone else. Fan is working well, egg shell temp is about 100.2 and humidity is at 45% which is great for my dry environment.
SC do you have a 4 day roundup handy by chance?

Eco 20 doesn't offer much headroom for turkey poults! But at least it's safe.

Well, update and picture time: 18 in the brooder. 5 of 6 Black tail buff Japanese hatched... 1 DIS. But that's awesome, considering they carry a lethal gene can kill 25% 4 of 4 Silver Duckwing OEGB's!! Yeah, they are so cute. 1 of 1 Silver Sebright hatched!! Awesome chick. Golden Sebrights... 8 of 13 have hatched. 2 are DIS, 3 are still in the bator, but not looking great. I could still see blood vessels, and maybe some movement, so I'm giving those 3 more time.Looking like I'm a little short of a SC parade, so I'm throwing my own parade of chick pics!
