WV...You find your other earring?

Nope. Came home and hubby had blown leaves in the yard almost all day! So there was quite a large pile. I checked the runs with my metal detector, and part of the yard, but I'd say if it was in the yard, its now part of the huge pile. So I'll wait till they pack down a little, then scan them. Definitely not in either run though.

So this is yummy!!! I know it's not Friday night but I has to splurge! ;)

Lady I work with loves those, but I have yet to find them in stock anywhere! Everyone is always sold out.

And now a ginger ale? I'll be looking for both!

How small were the air cells? Can I ask why are you waiting 2 days to set them? My advice would be to wait 12-24 hours to set. Then no turning for 48 hours. Candle and check the air cells. If they look good start turning them. If they look loose still then wait another 24 hours and check again.

I've got another batch of eggs coming in so I want to put them in at the same time. They won't be sitting here too long before going in the bator. :-)
Can't see some of the air cells at all yet...checking again tomorrow.

Homeschool rocks!! (And then there's those days....not so much.

) lol Seriously though, YAY!!!!

Thanks!!! Yes it does. Today however my Darling Daughter took 2 hours to do something that should have taken 15 minutes. Tomorrow is another day. :-) Required to do 5 1/2 hours of school 5 days a week so we make it fun and interesting.

Auto turn...no time to turn by hand...homeschooling two kids, plus have chickens, dogs, a puppy to potty train, usual chores, plus taking in some sewing for a bit of extra cash...I use an auto turner because its more reliable than my hands as well (forgetting or dropping one or over handling...) . Suggestions welcome on how long to wait to turn because I'm thinking I will wait a good 4 days from today to turn it on (two days setting outside of incubator and another 2 days in the bator without turner rotating). What do ya think?

Based on what others have had good results with I would say try running the turner from day 4 to day 14.

I hope nobody minds chick pictures!

Here's the six chicks I hatched for Halloween:

This little one is a CCL/Ayam cemani cross, much darker than I expected:

That AC/Cream Legbar is absolutely the cutest!! But I am partial to the dark ones, lol...

Calls are different than regular full sized ducks, they're a bantam duck so more sensitive to seasons... most regular ducks do lay during winter, just slow down like chickens do...
First year, she might just keep laying...

Btw, my OH was just drinking those, lol...
All this stuff I never knew I wanted to know is driving me quackers.

Geesh...I quack me up!
My hens must think they're Calls then, if recent egg production is any barometer. Other flocks I've had in the past slowed down during the molt, but never came to a screeching halt for weeks at a time.
