So cute!! I saw a CL ad for AC chicks and it was picture heavy. It didn't specify what area of NY they were in. I thought maybe you'd be interested in seeing it??

I would like to see it! I wonder if perhaps Phoreda has an ad up? She too has cemanis and bought some from me at chickenstock.


In other news, I set seven more AC eggs today! I'm going to have to enter that into Hatch A Batch while I'm thinking of it, because I forgot to for the last two batches I set and now I have no clue when they are due One is due pretty soon here, I think.

Me too! Especially since I'm horrible at keeping track of when each batch is due without it, lol. And it is really cool to be able to read what the embryo is doing each day.

Today is day 4 of the antibiotic and he's doing much, much better! Thanks for asking!

On a side note I lost power yet again

and couldn't get the generator started so double

when I couldn't get it started I put a blanket to help hold heat. Thankfully it was only out maybe 2 hours. The temp didn't drop below 80* so I hope they are still ok.

Oh no!

That's one of my big fears when I set this weekend. The breaker flipped this morning on the section of the house the incubator is in. We have a backup sump pump there that beeps when it does flip. But if nobody is home, we can't hear it.

I may move it to another breaker that rarely flips as a precaution.

At least it is still holding the temp perfectly. Still 100 degrees and 20% humidity dry. Pretty sure my In laws think I am crazy for trying to hatch eggs. But that's okay.

I have less than 2 weeks left. Hopefully this will be the last power loss while the bator is on! And fingers crossed DH can figure out why the generator wouldn't start for me. Usually the 2nd or 3rd pull it starts right up. Yes it has gas (I learned that with the lawnmower lol) the choke is set to start and the gas line open. Hopefully he can figure it out.
