It's fun, because the big ones accept chicks hatched in the pens. There is never any fighting or attacks. They can grow up right in the pen

Wow...excellent! This is just a small hobby for me but one day I would love to become a small hatchery. Sounds like a lot of fun.

My wife and I bought 4 BO pullets 7 years ago, and both got addicted. Last year we got our first breeder quality birds, then another this year.
We love the SOP birds, and demand for chicks is through the roof, so that is the direction our focus is shifting. We have 7 pens and around 130 birds now :gig
