We're supposed to be warmer, but I don't remember seeing the white stuff in the forecast. It is supposed to change to rain. It's dreary out. We are supposed to hit 58F sometime this week, hoping we'll clear 60! Yay for pics!Morning Amy. We're on our way to 65 today. I hope the cold is over, but you never know around here.
Been taking a bunch of pics this morning. Will post some in a bit, when I get on the tablet.

I know we'ver had a couple people hatch peahens. Ruby was one right? WV did you hatch some too?
Day 7 today? You should be seeing something. I'd question fertility.Good morning everyone!
I'm feeling like I'm a cursed hatcher today. After a 100% failed hatch a few weeks ago we tried again. Last monday I set 7 eggs from a local in my child's classroom. I had them for 3 days, turned a few times each day and kept in a cool place in my house until I set them. Using a brinsea mini advance. I candled a few of them today (the lightest ones) when I dropped by daughter off and I'm not seeing any veining or anything. Well, I see the air sac and a yolk, that's it.
Is it too early to see anything, or am I losing eggs again?!This is stressful, and I don't want to let these kids down again![]()

Delawares and Columbian Wyandottes both have the white body with the black and white collar. And there are Brahma's with that color pattern. Your hen almost looks like a silver leghorn from the pattern. Sounds like a really cool mix.I love Willy. He's big, he's great with the girls, not aggresive, but I may be moving him out this summer. When they are free ranging he likes to go after Elvis. Elvis can run faster though....lol Looked out the other day and they were running circles around my van. By the time I got out there to scold Willy and send him back to his coop they were both out of breath! Thankfully Elvis is faster cause Willy outweighs him at least double. I see pure bred hens that are white with that black design around their neck, never knew what breed, but mine are mixed. Some of them are very pretty, a handful are blah.....lol And TY, I like the assortment.
