She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

they are on day 11 and all are fertile and growing. The humidity is at 40%. I haven't misted. How do you do that? Just spray them with water?

Yep... or pat a wet sponge across them... it depends on how the air cells look... are they the right size for day 11? If the air cells are the right size, don't mist or sponge... if the air cells are too small, then mist or sponge once a day... it will make the humidity spike for a while, but the evaporation of the water off the shells will pull more moisture out of the eggs...

the air sacs look right to me.

I've never heard of there being a way to tell after they have been incubating.

I was asked about Meyers hatchery earlier. Someon had heard that their chicks are often "sickly" and wanted to know if I had any experience with them, which I don't, but I told them I'd ask around. Has anyone had any experience with them and what did you think?
I ordered 22 from them last fall. All made it alive, but I had 2 pass away the following day. I called them and they offered to refund my money for those two. All the rest are alive and laying now. I will order from them again. Mine were shipped from Ohio to Utah without any problems.

My eggs are on the way!! I can't wait. They are supposed to be here by Thursday. I plan to do a midnight setting. I have collected 7 of my Spitzhauben eggs so far, I'm pretty sure I got the right ones. They look quite small though. The oldest are going to be right around that day 10/11 period when set though. I'm also adding a handful of my greens. So, I should get some more NNs.

Hope you have a great hatch!
