Had the vet come out to look at Muffin today because we suspected she has lost her teeth and was having trouble chewing her hay. Turns out we were right. She is missing a few teeth but not as many as I would have thought for a 16-year-old sheep. We'll be changing her feed to something she can chew more easily. The vet said Muffin is otherwise in good condition for her age. 😌

Tallahassee: Two rams for sale. They either get sold or retire to the freezer.

One unaltered Dorper/Katahdin/St Croix mix ram, this one showing Dorper dominance as most of ours do. He was born in mid-December 2023, so about seven months old. Born and raised on pasture, 100%. He was one of twins, both came out healthy and immediately started nursing. He's friendly and easy to care for,

And one older ram, Katahdin appears to be visually dominant in this case. He's about two years old, raised entirely on pasture. He's been a good boy, we've used him for breeding, but we now have a surplus of boyos and it's time to rotate him out. It's either retirement to the freezer, or..... DM to discuss. Tallahassee - pickup near Lake Jackson.

Both good boys, we just have too many boys, so looking to thin a little.

Muffin has had a bad limp since the 17th. ☹️ It's her right front foot that is bothering her. I noticed that the hoof was growing outward on it which makes me think it's laminitis. What do you guys think?

I trimmed all her hooves, put her on the highest dose of Meloxicam, and I am cutting back on the feed with molasses and alfalfa in it. Anything else I should do?
