Shelter intake, breed and sex?

Im not sure but judging by pictures, maybe? I’ve never owned any chicken other than RIRs and they’re not even heritage. I do know, however, that pullet combs don’t redden until they’re about to lay and they’re down is completely gone. Unless there are breeds that go against that.
Comb sexing is not really accurate in my experience. I had Barred Rock pullets that had combs that red at that age. I knew they were female only by their barring pattern. However, if you see long thin hackle and saddle feathers come in, you'll know it's a boy for sure.

Ill be sitting on him for a bit as it is. I remember being just sure my RIR were males with those huge dark combs and big attitudes. They were girls. My black sex links went thru a period of long tail feathers that worried me and they were girls. So it seems combs and waddles go with breed because my reds way outgrew my other girls. But I don't have these and I'm just too new to know anything other than its a young chicken, I don't want it near mine yet, and what to feed it. Gimme an opossum or squirrel and I can tell you a lot, but I'm just not even close to there with chickens. Only fancy feathers I see so far is what I call the fluffy butt on my girls. The feathers that cover the thighs and stretch all the way back and make a poofy booty. Its a cute nice tempered bird, I just hope someone is looking for it.
