James had stabbed himself in the chest, and lay on the bank of the river.

Nikki was the first to find him. Shock and grief roared over her, and she almost immediately dove into the river.

The dove's eyes widened. How am I gonna tell Mali?

Nikki didn't try to fight. The currents pushed her under the water effortlessly.

James' blood stained the area around him, a faint breath escaped from his lips.

The dove landed on his chest. <Breathe. Help Nikki!>

Maya didn't see Nikki, she was already far downstream. Maya dove down, and checked his vitals. Finding that he was still breathing, she morphed into a polar bear and picked him up, placing him on her shoulder gently as she raced to the Med Center.

Waking up at the dove's call, James grimaced. He slid off of the polar bear and staggered to the river.

Back at the Med Bay, Mali's breathing had ceased, her eyes had fluttered shut.
