Shipping and Receiving Pea eggs contest!

The eggs arrived at 10:49 this morning, I unpacked and none are cracked or broken. Candled, and it looks like 11/20 of the air sacs are loose, but they were only wiggling around in a certain "area" I guess you could say, not necessarily completely detached. I've never really checked for loose air sacs before so I'm not 100% on what qualifies as one. But I've got them sitting fat end up in a 55-65 degree room in the basement. Got the incubators running and I'm slowly trying to get the humidity right. I've got pics uploading right now so I'll attach them shortly. Thanks again Randy!

I set the 20 eggs at 9:24pm. I was able to fit 12 into the new Octagon 20 Eco comfortably, and put the remaining 8 into the older Octagon 20 Advance EX (minus the humidity pump).
Here they are. Getting all nice and toasty. Time to start growing! :)

I only have one with the autoturner so I'll have to turn the whole other 'bator manually (or should I go in and turn each one by hand?) 3-5x a day.

Hatch date should be Friday, July 13. :)

Up date on eggs, shipped USPS, arrived 2 days from Oswego, KS to Wellman, IA (close to Iowa City), about 450 miles but went thru Des Moines so expect 500 miles. Put in incubator night of 6/8/12. This is 7 days I know recommendation is candle day 10. I'm anxious. 6 eggs shipped. Will list by number to keep tract thru the process.

1. air sack still moves easily all over egg absolutely no sign of fertility at all clear.
2. air sack moves a lot dark 2/3 down but see absolutely no veins
3. air sack irregular moves slightly dark area but see no veins
4. air sack moves a lot dark mid down like #2 I see no veins
5. air sack moves slightly I do see veins
6. air sack looks normal I see veins, mass and dark spot (hopeful eye)

Experts this doesn't look real good for my hatch does it?

I also have my 8 eggs due June 28th that my electricity went off the second night. I picked these eggs up at a hatchery. They look promising but I also know this was not good and have guarded hope. I still am wishing June 28th to hurry and get here. I have had such good luck with chicken eggs, of course they were taken from my own hen house.

This is my first experience with pea eggs, also, remember. I felt they were very well packed pictures earlier.

I didn't add my incubator has auto turner and fan and does keep even temperature real well. I have to add water to tray. I did make holders so eggs could lay or their sides little end slightly down. I also rotate end over end 5 x's per day first week now 3x's a day till lock down. I make sure that 0 is up one night and X the next day by record on top of my incubators just in case I ever forget a turn.

I e-mailed Georgialee today on her shipment of 19 eggs,,she said 13 still looked very good and Monday is pip and pop day for her,,I think we need to go back thru this thread and compile one list with everyones shipped eggs and update as hatch day occurs, and keep it going-adding as more ship and hatch???? I'm still looking for 1-2 more colors of eggs to buy and would gladly enter them for statistical purposes,,but I'm having a very hard time locating what I want,,Mmmaddie13,,may be the merlot, but you sure your hatch date isn't July 11th??

28 days is 4 weeks, set on Friday, four weeks later should pop on Friday. July 13th. :) Could be the Merlot. :p I stop turning on the 11th, is that what you're thinking of?

Ps any tips on turning for the bator without autoturn cradle? Should I just turn the octagon as intended or go in and turn each egg by hand? Or both? Should I hand-turn the eggs in the bator WITH the autoturner as well?

You all are making me want to turn on the bater and i promised myself i was not gonna do that anymore this year
