I have someone who wants me to ship birds, has anyone checked the vendors on who has the best prices? I live in Ga. so shipping cost may play in. I wnat something for 2 mini-ducks, and wondered if I should buy a group of boxes or just what I need at the time.... Or can you ship in a "normal box you cut holes in? I read that they had to be 25 lb. test, which I understand I used to sell boxes....

I just bought some from Meyer Hatchery which seemed to have the best shipping rates, but shipping those boxes to you can be quite high. I would recommend if you only need a few, to maybe go in on an order with someone as the more you order, the better price per box. Too bad, I just placed my order because I may not be too far from you. I am in Northwest Georgia too, in Dalton. If you are interested, I'll let you know the next time I place an order.

We have links on our website to some of the best prices online for the approved bird shipping boxes. You can always require the buyer to purchase the box and have it shipped to you for use. It is common practice.

You can not use anything but the USPS approved boxes that have the bio filters and secure tops.
