shock or sick?

shes gone.
My condolences, this is so very sad. I'm glad she had you with her,to give comfort in her final hours, trust me it means so much to animals to have us there. I lost my dog of 12 years two days ago,she passed in my arms with me telling her how much i loved and would miss her, gave her a kiss and a hug and she was gone. So i know exactly how you are feeling.

So sorry Granny, and to ten chicks, sorry about the loss of your dog. I hope we can all be with our pets when they die--it would be so bad if we weren't.

I am so sorry...I held my dying grandma in my arms..just a few months ago...I cried on the back of her neck...talking of the fond memories...she didnt pass in my arms but death hurts me..doesn't help I work in a nursing home...I just wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss...mine are like family...almost

thank you everyone. i havent been this shook up in many a year. who told me just chop the head off they wont feel it, or they dont feel pain. that is all bull. i know my chickens sounds and it was bloodcurdling. she was my first chicken since i moved here . she was about 4 yr old black cochin and she was awesome. hugs to you all for staying with me through this.

hi dawg, as you can see she died but i was wondering if it might of been from an od on the ivermectin? she had white diarrhea and no meat on her bones

I'm guessing it may have been internal injuries/stress due to her being stuck. White diarrhea can have many causes, just a few are: egg binding, stress, vent gleet, internal injuries,in her case i am going with stress.

Could she have had an impacted crop, wondering about weight loss or else she may have been ill for awhile, but hiding it.
