Should I be expecting eggs now!?

My girls started a week or so ago, they range from 20 weeks to 24...so it depends on breed...

how red are your girls combs? That is a huge hint....the redder they are, the closer they are....

My girls are 18 weeks old today. I have heard of people having eggs as early as 16 weeks. Some of my other girls have a ways to go yet. I'll post pics later today.

My RIR started laying at 20 weeks and 1 day. My production red didn't lay until nearly 23 weeks. First egg on Friday and none since then. I really thought the production red would be more of an egg laying machine. Turns out the RIR is my most reliable layer giving me an egg a day!
