Here are our last three babies, finally transferred to the brooder. They hatched within an hour of each other this morning. They all look like they will be blues (they are all from the same nest). They are slightly different shades of grey. I put down some new paper towels to take some photos, but soon it was poop city!

Congrats!!! They are gorgeous and totally adorable! Thank you so much for the update! THE POOP!!! They were pooping in my bator too!!!

I finally added paper towels on top of the towel for a quick change. I was changing the paper towels today in the brooder, which sit on a comfy towel in there too, every time I saw a few poops- this was A LOT and I finally decided that since they are not pooping under the heat lamp or where they lay/sleep, I’ll just change the paper towels when I feel they will step in it and the one by the water bowl has gotten wet fairly quickly (which actually here is where they tend to poo the most!!!)
Someone told me to use the feeder bowl as their water and the water and their feeder, but I do want them to play in the water, so for the moment I’m not worried about constantly changing a paper towel or two due to water and if poo gets on it too- so be it! Other that that- they’ve been really good and poop in the same spots (these two particular 1/2 sheet paper towels)! I’m not going to hold my breath- it’ll probably be all over in a few more days, if not when I wake up in the morning, lol! But if not, that’d be amazing!!! I know they can’t control going to the bathroom like humans, it just comes when it comes! Kind of stinks because apparently ducks are so intelligent so I bet if they were able to hold their “droppings” they could definitely be potty trained!!
I can’t wait to see what your babies look like when they get a little older!!!
