Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

maybe if you talk nice to them, pet them and tell them what good hens they are, they will respond positively by laying eggs where you want..hahaha Actually, alot of people say a rooster doesn't have anything to do with the process, but he does. Mine will actually make a nest and sit in it some, making sure it's suitable, then stand guard while the hen lays. Interesting be

Nice won't work with these birds. Should I buy a rooster or make a nest and sit in it myself.

You think you have it tough, I have hens laying on the poarch now, prob because I had to haul a six foot rat snake out of a nest box----there were sqwaking alot but I thought it was cause the broody had taken the best spot...on the poarch! I had to put a barricade in front of it cause I think Lucy ate an egg ( the dog) I hope it was the dog.....

That gives me a idea. If I had a fake black snake to put on the poop board.........never mind.......they would bury it with poop and laugh at me

I don't think fake will work. It has to be real..gulping down eggs, taking up the whole box...yaw! OK now tell me how to get them back in the coop....at least your are in the coop.....maybe someone will hatch them there...that'll be fun

I need a taxidermist then. Do you still have that rat snake? And save me all of your dead roosters from now on.

Snake has been eaten by the buzzards. No left overs from the last rooster spree....but there are several that won't make the cut this year. Do you want me to send a dead rooster via fed ex--although we seem to have a new guy now the last one must be in the psych ward, but it prob won't smell much till it gets to you!

Maybe, a snake ate it...just like mine...did you think about that? Maybe....that's why they don't want to goin their nests.....just like mine.....maybe..it could happen.
