Gahh! I've got one of these nutty not in the box chickens. I've left eggs in there, actually put her in the box, etc. No Luck. Clueless. And she's the one who has a rooster boyfriend. She'd be the one in my avatar.... Cute, but kinda dumb.

I got about two dozen. But they are real small. Bake a cake? I don't think so. I have friends and family lined up all the way to the end of my driveway for fresh eggs. Wal Mart couldn't keep up with the demand for eggs.

It will happen and it will be a life changing experience........for the chickens. Its kinds like a teenager turning 18. They get this additude that you need them more than they need you. They will push you as far as they can to see where you will draw the line. But the good news is, unlike teenagers, you can use the threat of making "chicken soup" out of them without a visit from child protective services or a mental inquest warrant.

Thanks for sharing that. I don't feel like such a failure now. In my case it wouldn't be so bad if it was the corner of the coop or some other comfortable place. But the POOP BOARD!!!!! Its just so degrading.......I really can't help but ask myself where I failed. She no doubt has some deep issues. I'm lost

yeah, when you put it that way, the poop board, wow. Now I am happy to find one in the pine shaving bale, on the poarch...which is up to twelve eggs, somebody better go broody soon, or its cake time.
