My 2 for the day. Lola, my white Ameracauna X laid the greenish egg. I was hoping for blue. Green is good though.

Yesterday I saw a bunch of shipping crates being tossed. Just their lids were off. They each were about 3X6 and bigger. There were also pallets and crate frames, as well as those big spools goats like and a few smaller ones maybe two feet tall.
Not sure how long I can go without birds. It is hard!

Oooooo.... I remember when the huge spools were used for tables.

I am very sad today. When I got home, it was dark outside (hate it), but I wanted to check the chickens water to see if it was frozen. When I checked on Rumples.... she looked alone. Hmmmm.... maybe Little Bit was behind her in the box I put out for them to sleep in. Well... when I looked in the coop, I saw Little Bit on the roost with her sisters. She finally left het mom to be with the flock. I am sad... sad.... sad....

Now Rump is alone and it is cold out. I did put a heat lamp out for her, but.... she is alone. my heart breaks for her.
