Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

W4W i am still laughing... OMgosh! My oldest is still slightly believing in Santa. (she is 30!) She was my 1st and only born child, and Santa was such a mystery for her, she finally asked me a few years ago. She doesn't believe me. i best not to tell her about Roger taking Rudolf's place!

I am a bad mom i guess.. hehehe i tried.
If she's still believing at 30 then you did an exemplary job parenting!

When my #1 started doubting a few years back, in order to protect his younger brother from grinchiness, I explained to him that those who don't believe, and blab it all over, and ruin the fun for those of us who enjoy Christmas (with all the trimmings) will not be able to participate fully in all of the various Christmas traditions, including the giving and receiving of gifts! Surprisingly, for one not naturally attuned to the subtleties of interpersonal communication, my message was grasped with alacrity by #1, and #2 was left in peace for the next several holidays to reach his own conclusions.

Thats great W4W. I had a few concerns about Roger as well. Santa would probably want to put a windshield/ (poop shield) on the sled. Roger does tend to use that method to retaliate when she does not get her way. But if this idea catches on I can picture us having a egg hunt on Christmas.(Not from stupid rabbits this time). One more thing to add to the excitment and make the whole thing a bit more real. Overall I think she would take the job serious. And once this Roger replaces Rudolph transition is done then kids everywhere will make it a tradition on Christmas Eve to go outside and throw a handful of scratch or birdseed up on the roof of the house. I think its a move in the right direction. And regarding me when I was six and stop believeing......when Rudolph's nose fell off that was all it took. I was done with the foolishness.

Poop shield. Excellent idea. It was Roger that decorated that egg laid on the poop board.

And I agree that the responsibility would have a positive effect on Roger, but I'd still keep a close eye on her!

Egg hunt in the snow with white eggs, for those of us who love a challenge!

Yeah, the nose coming off was hard to take, but Ruldolph did face down the abominable snowmonster and help Hermey reach his dream of becoming a dentist. I can overlook a little foolishness if there's a happy ending!

ACW, courageous teller of truths, to think this massive conspiracy has been perpetrated for all these years! Brainwashing our children through beloved cartoons and rewriting history to demote the noble chicken. It's outrageous. I would complain to my congressperson, but they would probably respond by cancelling Christmas or something equally stupid.

Something must be done. Sign me up, I'm in. We have to come up with a witty acronym for your secret underground organization. I have not had enough sleep to be particularly witty right now, so will give this some thought...

Now wait just a minute buster! Rabbits are NOT stupid.

They just enjoy the simple life.

W4W I love the bunny... it's a different one from the halloween pic, name??

My sincere apology. What I was thinking is not what I typed. My thought was the idea of hunting eggs from rabbits was stupid or .......kind of ridiculous.......unfair to expect from a rabbit........

I use to raise rabbits. Had 40-50 at one time when I was a kid. No need for apologies! Just didn't want to start a wabbit upwising.

What breeds did you raise?

Ha! Just give me an excuse to talk about bunnies! The one from Halloween is a blue Minirex named Chicory. He is an awesome house pet with perfect litterbox manners.

The big fawn guy was a Flemish Giant named Sherman (after the tank). He had been stepped on as a newborn and had deformed ribs and spine and chronic ear mites. Only 5 of his 10 litter mates survived, so we considered him to be more of a rescue situation. He only lived for a couple of years, but had such a wonderful personality. Some day I'll get another of this breed.

Baby Sherman next to half gallon carton.

And one after he grew into his ears a bit. Sherm was small for the breed, about 13 lbs.

jchny- Congrats on the egg! Glad you didn't break your chickens!

Pretty good for having twitchy-eye! The only thing I've come up with so far is SCRATCH: Support Chicken Reclamation And Takeover of Christmas Holidays
