Such a sad story, Cheeka, and all too common. The psychiatric diagnosis is the key, and it's too bad that there are so many "non-believers." Similar ignorance surrounding my sis in law, who has paranoid schizophrenia. Most of the family thought she was doing it on purpose to be difficult. Result is an almost 60 yr old woman who has never received treatment, and probably never will. It's about 40 yrs too late. At least the paranoia keeps her away from drugs.



The boys are off from school all next week. Yay! Trying to get the 17 yr old to get his license, and the 14 yr old is going to a tech high school in a different town, so I will be thankful to not be in the car so much next week! Also my brother is hosting Thanksgiving this year. Woohoo! First time in 10 years it's not at my house! I'm so happy!

Thanksgiving this year will be better than the last several - we're going to a restaurant, which serves very good food, even if I would prefer to be "home"... the holiday usually involves a 4 hour round trip drive for me and I hate it. last year, I skipped it, ate chicken and tater tots. it was awesome! but that's why it was decided to make it easier on me... everyone will drive one hour each way. so I'll go.

Louise is finished hatching... up front soaking up the sunlight streaming in... empty shells way in the back... so I want to see them!

I got to see them, but at a bit of a distance. she got quite huffy about my poking around and took all SIX to the back of the igloo and out of my reach. Mean Mama Weezy!

The cuteness meter just broke!! Each color pair is slightly different (I think you said that earlier) so you can tell them apart as they grow. They all look like pullets, except for that one.

2 hr round trip doesn't seem too bad. You can always have chicken and tater tots Friday.

Takes under 15 mins to get to my brother's house, and that's good, because it's supposed to get colder here that day and maybe even rain. As you know, it's more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about the critters so much being hours away.

15 minutes is great! takes me almost that long just to get to the downtown at the bottom of my mountain... we're supposed to have mild sunny weather, so it won't be bad, and I've been to this restaurant once before - family style, Easter of 2014... it was really good, so I bet the Thanksgiving feast will be completely enormous. the decor could use some updating, but it's an old family run place - it's outdated by a few decades, but extremely clean... that Easter Sunday was packed. even people with reservations were waiting for tables to clear... I guess they overbook, but at least they made more than enough food!
 
For some reason I can't get my photos off my phone no matter what. Two transferred, and that is it. And I messed something up so that I can't post to this site from my phone.
