Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Hubs and I went for a drive last weekend, out to the coast. We went past the small "town" of Bodega, and many of the buildings that were in Hitchcock's The Birds are still there.

This is the church. It's still in use. Looks a lot nicer than it did 30 years ago.

And here's the school were the birds killed the teacher (Suzanne Pleshette). Aren't those windows cool?

This is a privately owned house now. They keep all the bottom windows curtained. Probably not so many people taking pictures any more! You can see the church in the background. Five minutes away is the town of Bodega Bay, where most of the movie was really supposed to be taking place.

lol! I didn't even notice the typo... and he should arrive early-mid Sunday morning... he could be here in the middle of the night, but that is silly. he should stop at hotels that allow pets and stay rested. I'm so stoked for Chester, he will be so happy and the chickens will think nothing of them, it will be interesting to see if they think anything of the chickens. pugs are very platonic and chill... puppies on the other hand... she'll have to be monitored for sure... I need lots more to love as I am crawling toward the Solstice with horrible seasonal affect this year... rotten menopause mixed in, bad knee, lost my dog, hit a deer... I want to go to bed at dark. I know that it takes a bit to make a difference in daylight, then winter locks its death grip on my area... but my depression lifts when there is more light. this year shouldn't be as bad as it is... it's just all the stuff that has happened to compound things. anyway, the weather has been unseasonably mild and doesn't look to change for at least this coming week. huzzah! really, I'm okay. I miss Wrangler, was hoping she would come for Christmas, but it just didn't work out... she'll be here in May and stay all summer. I can make it.

Belle is a very good name!

And Peri is cute.

Let's see, that leaves Tinker or Tinky and Winkle or Winky.

Tinky-Winky? Isn't that a Teletubby? The purple one.

Cheeka - that sounds great! I have lived next door to a pedigree pug breeder for a long time, they are lovely dogs - although it's a little wearing when you hear a chorus of sixteen of them barking!

Monica seems to be getting close to laying, Selma has re grown all her feathers so should resume laying soon and the puppy had her first walk!

Here is a poem to my EE:
Two, two, today we got two!
I knew you could do it
You knew, too
So today I got 1 egg and 1 egg
So together that is 2!
One brown, and one Blue!

Golly what a day! I should have taken a nap! if I had a crystal ball and could foresee their late start, minor car trouble, distraction, heading too far north... and not arriving until MIDNIGHT... I would have for sure.
but they are finally here! and so adorable and full of energy it was almost impossible to get a clear shot, plus, it's dimly lit, so the black one is harder to see... I only got one decent photo of her... Chester is over the moon! and they are busy now, sniffing and snorting, having had breakfast and been out already. Chester wishes they would behave and go back to sleep, like him... but pups will be pups and he keeps getting up to see if he should be joining them. poor brother is not getting much rest at this point. I told him to go up to my room... but eh... such is - Good Morning Mountaintop!
