Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I have a barred rock roo for sale that as become aggressive Toward my family he is only 8 months old he has not challenged me yet he needs to go before he is in my stock pot

datschicks, there are a few things you can do to correct his behavior, or your family, more like... as he is being aggressive to them. rooster sticks work wonders... those orange marker sticks or even a ski pole,.. or just a nice skinny long stick...
keep the roo at distance by pointing the stick at him. if he comes within the distance of the stick, give him a whack. doesn't have to be hard. or a poke. he should back off. if he attacks... soup pot.

also, corner him, pin him, sweep him upside down by the feet, parade him around in front of humans and flock members. puts him in his place... anyway, good luck. don't breed him. he will pass on his personality to all offspring and suddenly, you have mean hens. good luck!

Duckling refuses to speak. Even the words I know she knows. She will, however say, "mine". It sounded (and probably was accidentally) like mom before. Now she can say "nine." And she seems to know what it means. BRAT!

oh those phases... terrible two's turn into threatening three's and formidable four's... but it's worth it! hang in there!

it's been quiet around here, but it won't be for long!

my brother is already on his way to pick them up in somewhereville Colorado and drive them to me. he will arrive Sunday morning... omg. I can't wait!

That's awesome, cheeka!!! You are getting an early Christmas present! Do they have manes? They are both so cute. Congratulations!!!!

my goofy brother spent all this time talking up how great it would be for his sister to have them, and all the pics the lady can see on Facebook... that he totally forgot to ask what their names are!!! I'm certain they both are named, at least the 4 year old Mama... the baby may not have a name that has stuck... but I don't intend to change their names at all. it's not like Chester. Chester's name was China when I got him, and with his abused background... I just felt he needed a whole fresh start and a happy name that still started with Ch, so he'd hear it and learn it quickly. he loves being Chester, he loves the name Cheddar Cheese too. he loves me so much, he comes if I call him big fat gooberhead. and I do.
I am so excited! although... I've still got a few years of Ruby's hair that hasn't filtered out yet... find them on clothes in the closet, a little clump here or there... my Mom switched to black pugs after our very first one, they shed profusely and she wears a lot of dark clothing... she says she was still finding fawn colored Hudson hairs 10 years after he was gone... I believe it.

Chester was my first thought. He will probably love having buddies during the day. I like the black pugs, although the gray shows more when they get old. Scooter named himself. We tried calling him a bunch of different names, and Scooter was the only one he responded to. Ignored everything else. It was really obvious.

There will never be another Ruby, but these guys look like they would appreciate a great home.
