gilcamp, glad to hear dh is on the mend!

MC, sounds fishy to me, but I'm glad that they're returning. reminds me of a Walton's episode when Yancy was stealing chickens and bringing them to hungry folks for the eggs... when he was caught, the folks brought them back, one by one... it was so cute...

on my home front, we have made huge progress. lots of crap gone, and the dumpster is coming within a few days, then it will go fast! Inspections are Friday and Saturday, first septic, then house. pray that all goes well, it should... but... sheesh, the stress! but I am feeling much better because of all the stuff that went today, I have 2 people that want the majority of my flock AND my Dad found a beautiful, not overly large house that we close on in 2 weeks! I can be in that house 2 weeks from now if I'm ready, which is a full 2 weeks before I am due at the Mayo Clinic... my brother can stay at the house and care for the dogs while I'm gone and Oma and Wrangler will move in ASAP - their lease isn't up til the end of September, so we can take that month to basically move them...

just having an address to move to is a huge weight off my mind.

good luck with everything, hope health comes out ok. dh had that same test he hated it, when we moved I was the sales lady we did not use realtor just lawyers for both them and us, I did most of the work, septic was a pain for use too, our house was 60 years old and we had put on a whole 2nd floor, when we moved everything we said we did not need to bring to new home plus moving out of state, we had a big yard sale 2 days then we had someone come buy everything we had left. it is hard to get house cleaned out, the little peep went to peep heaven, granddaughter had fun today took her to daughters and the picked vegies from her garden.

No, I'm afraid my photography skills are poor. I do have similarly colored cats. TortieTabbies I guess they're called.

any one know what kind of chick this is or is it even a chick, I have had many chickens and never had one look like this one it is fluffy all over

so cute but would love to know what I have, got two like that one, I got a box of peeps at auction for granddaughter the box said back yard peeps. I think I have a couple barred rock and one may be a buff rock the little one that is light yellow almost white I am not sure what she is going to be, last week got 7 rir peeps

some of the partridge breeds look like that--usually the males.

grr, the septic inspection had to be rescheduled because the lady who owns the company had to take her son to the ER. he's fine, but c'mon... come the next day, not the next week, it's messing up the contract now... but the dumpster should arrive today. I plan to be long gone before the closing, so I can fly to Mayo Clinic from CO and then back again. we're making huge progress, giving lots of stuff to a friend who has several small children and is a widower. no time or interest in yard sale... people can dumpster dive for all I care.
I posted on Facebook that my flock has to go, any interested party may come and take their pick... I do have a few already claimed and I will be bringing Brutus and Neffy to be house chickens, and then will start over, planning on 4 Marans and 8 EE's.
