Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

this heat has to go, I had peeps inside but with ac on they were to cold so I moved them out in the screen house, we have a big fan going in the day time when it is so hot but nights seem to cool off, we have lost another peep this week hope that is it, we will not do this again till sept even if granddaughter asks.

How many, and how young? Mine were in the coop by two and three weeks without heat even this past April.

Freeze some water bottles for them. Chicks will snuggle the cold bottles to cool off.

Today it was official! I have three pullets laying now! The first two (brown and green) have been laying since almost 21 weeks. The third laid the first about three days ago, but I was only sure today. 7 to go!

Thank you Abigail. Lots of family stuff, moved, and the big one, my wife died. Now after 5 of us, 4 cats, a dog and 5 chickens living together it's just me, 1 cat and 4 hens. In a new town. With a new temporary coop for the girls. I've updated my "accounts" as something comes up, and I finally got back here. I'll NEVER catch up now :>)

Did you live in Yreka before? I have an Uncle that lives there.
