Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

When mine aren't laying I go without eggs unless I really want them for something baked.
When they are giving me eggs I eat eggs every day.
I've heard you can freeze them, but I haven't tried it.

I like to eat fresh venison in the Fall,
canned or frozen whenever I can...

Like the bears I gorge on blackberries when they're ripe,
I think I'm part bear.

I have 10 chickens and get only maybe 1 egg a day. My pullets won't lay for at least 10 more weeks. I say buy more eggs.

How have things been? You guys gearing up for hunting season?

yes, the pond is in the backyard area of their housing complex, it winds around between several houses and is really pretty, the dragonfly was flitting around my Mom's flowers, I love that pic, they aren't the easiest bug to photograph, and I really only had the one shot, can't believe it was looking right at me!
Saturday was a great day, but it's taken me all this time to recover from it and I'm still not fully with it... but today I have to get some pictures on the walls and get through a few more boxes. Wrangler gets out of school early on Monday's (2:15, it's 3:45 the rest of the week) and we talked about going to Denver this afternoon, we forgot to bring a box and packing paper on Saturday, my mom has a bunch of dishes/bowls for us that match a set I already have. if I'm just not up for it... my Dad and my brother are coming tomorrow, I'm not sure if my mom is coming too, it would be great if she does... I can send a box home with them and we'll be visiting by the end of the week/weekend to pack it up.

Not only was that dragonfly looking right at you, it was smiling too! Looks like a little flying puppy dog. puppy bug?

How long is the drive to your parents? I bet your dad wants to come see how the house looks!

I'm being nosy, but have you got a dr in CO yet? Can Mayo take care of you from afar depending on test results?

:lau    How have things been?  You guys gearing up for hunting season?

Yes, we are. This weekend opens Grouse, bear, cougar and wolf. Oh and turkey. Next month is elk and deer.
Honestly, I do have 12 chickens now. 4 Rumples hatched. All are pullets 12 weeks old. Rumples has gone into a molt, Smoke lays 1 a week. Penny lays maybe 1 a week. Nugget...well, she had been laying internally, went into a severe molt, started to lay again, internally and has now quit laying but is fine.
Lil Bit lays 5 a week and Betty too.
At work...
Gotta go.

Cheeka, I'm glad you have family around. And more dishes is pretty cool! Less washing them!! :celebrate :weee
:lau Wishful thinking, huh? You will get stronger, and soon a busy day will have you falling into bed, but waking refreshed. :hugs
