Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

lol, I think it's a great idea!  and certainly smells better than store bought hair dye!

this morning, I spoke with my friends that took Brutus, Dutch, Neffy and a bunch of large fowl, everyone is settled and the ladies have resumed laying!  and this morning, she was able to finally catch Dutch and have a nice snuggle.  Brutus and Neffy have been her lap babies since the day they went home with them... it was nice to catch up with them and hear how well they are all doing.  it seems so long ago that I left, and it's not even 5 weeks yet.

on other news... I've gained about 3 lbs since leaving NY, and Wrangler finally has a loose front tooth!  she's been wiggling it pretty much non stop since yesterday, and she will eat anything you give her if you tell her it will help make that tooth fall out!  she's been eating apples like crazy... she also has 2 loose teeth on the bottom, it's going to be a busy time for the tooth fairy!

Yes, I kinda wanna do it again! It might require me to literally put a coffee filter in the drain though.
I'm glad you were able to gain some weight. I think I found it! The campground has good lighting. I was given the chance to see just how large I truly am! So much for ever dating again. :th
Cheeka, we should swap bodies for a month! You can eat anything but mushrooms, and I can get back to eating healthy. Amazing the bad habits I've gotten while married.

Tell Wrangler not to rush it! She is growing up fast enough!

GOOD morning! Very good, in fact. A woman just came and got my accidental EE cockerel!

I put up a craiglist ad on Friday, and she responded that night. Wilbur is going to have his own flock of EE girls! I am so happy, especially since he beat the odds and made it out of the hatchery alive. She was very happy with him, and is even considering getting some Seramas for her little boy (and herself)

although she'll probably get home and come to her senses.

Congrats on the weight gain, cheeka. I had lost about 5 pounds, but a few snuck/sneaked back on somehow. Happy to hear your special chickens are being cared for by someone who appreciates how special they are. I have a feeling that lady's life is much improved having them too. Tis the season for losing teeth! Was just chatting with a youngster last night and he lost a tooth right then! I love the gummy smiles in elementary school! When her adult teeth come in, she will really look older. It just speeds by. Enjoy, and take lots of pics!

Taking an informal poll: Do you use "sneaked" or "snuck" as the past tense of sneak?

sneaked. I had it underlined as incorrect so many times, I've given up on snuck. although here... it doesn't show up as wrong. and my Mom would correct me too. she has a coffee mug that says "I'm silently correcting your grammar" I am living proof that she's not so silent about it... and now that I live so closely... I have to watch myself... speaking properly, eating with manners, no meatcicles around her!

yeah, it's great that my babies all got good homes. I sure do miss them still. and whatever I did yesterday (major overeating day) I've been sick all day today. might have lost some ground on the weight gain. I didn't get on the scale, hoping it just balances out. I definitely did eat too much.

Wrangler... such a sweetheart, I mean... she can throw one like any 6-7 year old, but really, she's so logical and reasonable. beyond her years...
she has one new friend that I'm not so crazy about. this new girl is a young 6, and perhaps a bit immature even still... and she "doesn't like school", "doesn't like reading", doesn't like math", doesn't like... on and on, so tonight, for the first time ever (for not being sick...) Wrangler said she wished she didn't have to go to school! she played at this girls house today, and apparently, the girl had a great idea to jump out a (first floor) window - and dang it! Wrangler followed her! she came home with a funky mark on her arm, at the elbow. come to find out, she got the cord for the blind wrapped around her arm when she jumped and it gave her quite a rope burn! lucky it wasn't worse. time for a break from that "friend"

oh and... congrats on finding a home for the EE fella, hope she does expand into Serama's, that would be furthering our cause of world domination...

MC,

embrace it. love yourself! we do! eating healthy is not always easy, or fun... but if you can make one healthy choice, even just a couple of times a week, you'll feel the difference.

Sneaked just doesn't sound right. But snuck isn't right either. I looked it up and apparently snuck is so frequently in common usage that they have just about given up. Who "they" are, I'm not exactly sure, but sounds like your mom is made of much sterner stuff!

Oh, the friends they choose! My mom was the master at planting the seed of awareness when it came to things like that. Just a simple conversation... a few questions... no lectures or opinions. I noticed Nellie saying she didn't like quite a few things. I really like those things, especially reading. Did she tell you what she does like? Worked on me every time, because the next time I was with the person, I'd be waiting for her to say something positive so I could tell my mom, and the negativity stood out like a beacon. And later, when I decided I was tired of Nellie, it was all my idea... mom never criticized. She was sneaky that way.

She really snucked!

oh boy I need some sleep

You reminded me I hadn't checked my email since this morning. There was a response for the Seramas! Here's what it said:
Hey I want a rooster please let me know if you have one...
hmm.png
Is it just me? He did say please... I told him they were still available and asked if he was familiar with the breed. And when I say "he" I am imagining a 12 yr old boy. Any older and I'm not sure I can go through with it.

The mourning doves hatched an egg this morning... I think. I thought I heard a baby, and the dad was puffier than usual. Baby doves don't cry (Prince going through my head) when they are hungry. So maybe it was a chick outside the window.
