Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Did you know migraines can be caused by hormone changes (your monthly) but pregnancy stops or reduces them. Boys get them more than girls, but women get them more than men.
I have had them since ... Gosh. I was a toddler. back then you didn't see a problem with it. Unfortunately, my migraines are linked to my sister's seizures. 7 kids, and all of our problems come from my mother who may say something after the doctor fixes/diagnoses the problem. Even miscarriages and birth deformities!!

I am better now that I am older. I think it is just the stress I am feeling. Everyday I find something else that needs attention.

No doubt about the hormone link.

I started getting them in childhood too, but it was linked then to eating nitrates, so no hotdogs, ham, salami or bacon for this poor little girl. Weird thing was, once I barfed, the migraine went away (which I have since read about in a medical book). To this day I still try to find nitrate free stuff. I have the mom guilt for passing it on. So far only #1son has had a couple of bad ones. One this year, his first year at the high school. Didn't really know what was happening to him, pounding head, but ended up fleeing algebra class only to barf all over the hallway in front of the principal. Needless to say, he was excused for the day. #2son gets stomach troubles, so dad gets the guilt for passing that on!

I find communing with the chickens is a great way to reduce stress!

Lot more people get chomped on by gators than you know. Have some horror stories I can't mention here. Florida is a dangerous place, everything bites stings is poisonous or has wicked thorns. Now we can boast pythons and king cobra. And who knows what else when the wildlife refuge was busted up in the hurricane, and the snake pen emptied.

Actually roosters are the same same size...black is slimming. One is just more rooster than the other, notice he has all the girlfriends with him. He also hatched out first day. Don't know if it matters, but just a fact. I think Roger is out of control. Run forest run!

I got my ladies as an early Xmas present and they are now 24 weeks (been with us for 7 weeks) still no eggs ! I told my husband he couldn't have a fry up until there was an egg but i caved in and bought some when I needed to make a birthday cake (he got his fry up). Has anyone tried putting a bought egg in the nest to encourage them or is it more likely to scare them ? (they are bantams and bought eggs are not

There I was collecting eggs, when I felt Cadbury jump onto my back. She rode around while I was changing the water, then I bent to look for more eggs in the bedding. Another one jumped up. I looked around expecting it to be Baby, the BR. It turns out it was Penny. She hasn't done that in three months or so.

I hard boiled store bought eggs and put them in the nest to encourage them to lay and Roger ate them. You might not know Roger like others here do. I answer yes its is alright to put store bought eggs in the nest. I did that and hard boiled them in case the young birds break them it doesn't make as big a mess.

I put golf balls in my nest boxes. The girls seemed to accept them them as eggs and no danger of them getting eaten. In fact, one of mine went a little broody and would sit on golf balls all day!

24 weeks is not all that old really, especially this time of year with the lack of sun. Now that the days are getting longer, they should get into the swing of it soon. Someone once suggested getting a bucket of fried chicken and eating in front of them to inspire productivity.
