Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

thanks aggiemae! he sure is something! they are sending mobile photos but no texts with the little details like weight and length. it's okay, they are overwhelmed, I'm sure!

Mylee arrived safe and sound and wanted to get going straight to the cluck clucks! we made it home before 6, and spent quite a bit of time with them!

Mylee is a sweetheart! The joy and wonder on her face here is priceless. The hoop coop must seem a magical place; the best fort ever. Waaaay better than Disneyland! I have many distinct memories as a 3 yr old. I bet this is one she will remember.

her nickname is Smiley Mylee. for good reason. she's still sleeping, and I have to get ready to leave. she's going to be annoyed that I'm not here all day, but we can talk on the phone, like usual... but I expect her to see some other family members today. her Mom's family all live here, and they haven't seen her since she was 1.

Cheeks congrats on Jackson, he is a beautiful baby. I hope Dana and him are doing well and heading home for some rest. Jc the ducks are precious looking...I want one so badly. totally jealous. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I have two more laying eggs....I only know because I have two new colors! Olive green and white..ish? Lol it's almost cream not white...I'm confused by that. One completely. Not laid in the box either....one under the feeder (no idea how that happened) and one at the door.

Ha! must be something in the air! I had 2 eggs in the dome! they never just lay in the middle of the floor. the Wee's must have been hogging the coops... but there were 2 more in the nest box and 2 birds trying to lay. so it might be a perfect day... it is snowing like crazy! been snowing for 2 days straight, but it's been warmish in the afternoons, so it hasn't amounted to more than a nuisance.
I got a new stove, bought it yesterday, it's delivered and installed already! and it's already cooking away, making rock cornish game hens and roasted potatoes in the oven, and asparagus and baby carrots on the burners. so nice to have an oven again!
when I got home from work, Mylee was waiting in the door, "we gonna go take care of the cluck clucks Omi?" she was ready, shoes and jacket on! she carried the feed bucket and bread by herself, fed them bits of bread, and poured their feed out into the different stations. she also dumped out a bag of fresh straw, and spread it around.
Then we collected eggs. we got 4. She washed the eggs... picked out Isis' blue egg, and asked if she could eat this one. she let me crack the shell, but she opened the egg, she scrambled it, she poured in into the pan. she let me serve it.
we colored, watched Peter Rabbit... then we started supper. she's determined to do it all... she cut the butter, she sprinkled spices (with a little help) she put all the potatoes in the roasting pan, she put all the carrots in the pot... then she wanted to take a bath... perfect, it will kill the hour that it takes for supper to cook... sooooo.... I wrote this while the bathtub filled... she's ready to go dive in! be back later!
P.S. Dana and Jackson are home today! she's very relieved to be home, she's posted other pics, i'll snag a few, he's pretty tiny on the new changing table! but so adorable!

dinner was superb! it's been a long long time since I've had anything roasted... I can't remember when the oven broke, last summer? ridiculous...

she wants to color again, so I set up the little table with the books and colored pencils... and she went to get a gogurt yogurt... and she didn't come back. so I went to look for her. she was in the kitchen, fridge open... kissing the eggs.

Thats so sweet. My son loves to try and kiss the chickens...I constantly have to tell him to stop (I am afraid they will peck his face lol). They are so sweet. I am glad your having so much fun with her and that she loves chickens just as much as you

Grandkids are great. I went to Nashville to see my grandson over the weekend. 2nd birthday. Roger had to stay home. Have fun cheeka
