Sorry I suck at taking photos of things I'm afraid of. Normally spiders don't bother me....but he jumps...and freaks me out. I think he is dying because when I caught him he was spread out more.

Sorry for the spider pictures...I know it's not chickens lol or related...but it was on my coop...does that count?
When curled up like this it's around two and a half to three inches.

he might be some kind of wolf spider

My book doesn't have a lot of spiders listed, but it might be a Brownish-gray Fishing Spider. They're in your area, not necessarily right by water, and they can be bigger than wolf spiders. Very stripy too. It's not a black widow or brown recluse, so no worries about it being around, unless you're an insect, of course!
