Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I have had a rough day.... My son started running a fever yesterday, so he stayed home from school. #3 DD (19 months) gets play therapy for a slight speech delay (she was 6 wks premature) and her therapist came this morning. #1DD, hasn't been feeling good so she had a dr appt today that was supposed to be at 4:30. They called me this morning and moved it up until 2:10. After the baby's therapy we ate lunch, picked up #1DD and headed to the dr office. They tested #1 DD for Mono after I told them that I suspected it...... she was positive. They tested my son for strep... he was positive. #2 DD is starting to get a cold, and may end up with the flu. They said since she hasn't run a fever it wouldn't show up on a test yet. While we were there, the baby was climbing on the table and before I could get there she fell and now has a big pop knot on her noggin!

Seems like since Christmas (less than 3 weeks ya know) we have had someone sick around here! First the stomach bug starting on Christmas night, then the kids started getting strep and passing it around, and now Mono, and a cold/flu! I am going to have to buy stock in Lysol!

On the chicken front, I got 8 eggs today. I also saw the huskies heading up the road as I was putting #1DD on the bus. I went ahead and called Animal Control and made a report about Friday's incident and they are going to go over there and talk to them. I told them everything that has happened and that has been said, including the fact that our dog had been at their house as well. I figured as soon as they showed up that the neighbor was going to tell them anyway, and so I was totally honest about it. She told me to make sure I take pictures and document everything from now on! I am hoping that we can handle it without it getting nasty.

Hubby and I dug a ditch yesterday to put in culvert under the driveway so we could have the gravel brought that my mom bought us for Christmas! That was a job! He went today after work and bought the pipe and the drain so we put it in and covered it today. It was 50 feet of pipe!!!! Lots of work to do around here, but we are slowly getting it done!

Had an interesting day sunday. While we were processing roosters, DH noticed a little beagle mix by our driveway.

Terrified, confused and just tiny.
Well, he loves little dogs, went and scooped her up.
Today we were happy to find the owner via facebook!!!
The poor guy was crying and I thought her eyes would pop he was hugging her so hard.
Its nice to have a happy ending to some of these situations.

Awww, poor kiddo. I hate the sound of that "thunk" when you just can't get to them fast enough. Mono and strep and owies - I hope tomorrow is more relaxing!

The egg pictures are getting me really excited. I don't know if you all have heard but I am expecting another egg !!!!!!! It is due July 27th. All of my BYC friends will be invited to my shower. I am registered at Tractor Supply. I could especially use a lot of scratch and meal worms.

Well my babies that i brought the first week in july should start any day now. I'm so excited. If I have to eat another store brought egg I swear I'll just scream. You have to doctor them up so much just to get flavor.

dinner was great, it was a fun evening.
